I’m an illustrator from West Yorkshire. I work both digitally and traditionally in gouache and coloured pencils. My primary focus at the moment is children’s illustrations and picture books although I also enjoy editorial work. I enjoy observing and drawing from life, particularly whilst out walking my dog, Mya, in the Yorkshire Moors.
I enjoy creating narratives visually, as well as creating work that people can interact with. I like my work to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. My work focuses on issues that important to me, particularly focused on dogs. My current book focuses on highlighting the options available when considering getting a pet dog. In particular focusing on adoption in order to bring awareness to shelters, making it a viable option alongside buying. It tells the story of a dog looking for a home, using simple language and playful images to engage with children of all ages. Alongside this, I also created daily quick illustrations capturing moments with my dog Mya.
