My design thesis explores condensing the experience of walking in the historical urban quarter into the scale of a building, which accommodates a literature museum in Antwerp.
i. architectural interest
The first part of the project focuses on abstracting and miniaturising some identical spatial configurations found in Antwerp into one building. Aiming to creates a sequential experience works as a leading thread through the entire building three-dimensionally.
ii. experience and literature
Combining the architectural idea with a literature museum program on a chosen site, the second part of the project leads to questioning the relationship between the spatial narrative and the literature exhibits.
