Michael O’Donnell

I am a Product Design Engineering MEng student from Glasgow graduating this year. I’ve played football all my life (with my career hampered by injuries) and I was keen to combine my two interests of sport and design. By designing a sports recovery product for my final year masters project, I hope to go into this industry when I graduate. The project began as an exploration into the inefficiencies of ice bath use within the world of football, however evolved into an investigation of all recovery methods used and how technology could improve these procedures. Due to my own experience of poor recovery between matches and training sessions, looking for ways to improve the recovery process became a real passion of mine.The resulting product is one which portable and convenient, optimising the recovery process, saving time and effort.
