I fell into you.

I, the subject and the maker, fell into you, the object the other.
You became the subjectified object which in turn objectified me.
Who is the quasi-subject, and who is the quasi-object? Are we both quasi-others?

Examining the relationship between subject and other, and these tensions between myself and the work I make, I have explored the dynamic hierarchies of human and nonhuman objects.

I perform to and with the figures, have conversations with them, and observe the dialogues between the figures themselves. Short thoughts and small things said grew into larger conversations; abstracted words; sentences not making sense in the way we are used to.

I became aware of the human bodily presence they carry. Their absence and their presence. My absence and my presence. At times the the boundary between us becomes blurred.
We fall into each other.
