My practise is site responsive. I work across a range of mediums such as video, sound, writing, sculpture and performance to examine my environment. I like to play on my own experiences, yet in recent projects my practise has become more collaborative. Humour plays an important role in my practise and playfulness is a running theme throughout my work. This could be in the form of set design, where I take objects and repurpose them throughout a performance, or through my use of materials in earlier three dimensional pieces. I enjoy using found objects and readymades in my work, as well as the process of collection.
Recently I have been inspired by theatre. I am particularly interested in arts education, having studied at a variety of different institutions in both the UK and Germany. This is a theme that occurs in my work, such as most recently directing and producing a live musical performance about my experience at art school. I am passionate about accessibility of the arts in all its forms and hope to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to fine art.
