In my paintings, I collage together an array of different thoughts and ideas that often don’t relate, with the aim of producing elaborate compositions. I often use a range of contrasting colours, patterns and painting techniques to combine visuals inspired by certain books, lyrics, album covers, films, artworks. My ideas are portrayed as tangential thoughts that attempt to dart the viewers attention all around the painting. I am interested in creating strange and symbolic imagery and I’m especially inspired by elements of psychedelia, surrealism, visionary art and a wide range of music genres from country, to funk, rock, jazz and experimental.
