Andrew Law, a Malaysian-Born Architecture student. His design ethos, believe that Architecture, in its very elemental state, is able to convey an emotional influence to us, as a human beings. He is heavily interested in dealing with the contrasting scales of Architectural intervention, from the minimalism of Architecture, to the “avant-garde” provocations such as Utopias, Heterotopia, investigating the conflicts and the effects of both scales of Architecture to our human society, as a machine, it is all to deal with human beings.

In his final thesis, “The Ark of Antwerp”, a provocation against the apocalypse in a foreseen-able future, as the city is in a flooded state. The thesis deals with the preservation, conservation of the tangibles and intangibles of the soon-to-be vanished city, Antwerp. From a sole-flood barrier to a memory preserver. Where Antwerp is understood as a fragmented city, that is used to be fortified and what is going to be happened in the state of post-apocalypse.
